The Cave Of Crystals became famous when it was discovered to be full of the world’s largest and most outstanding crystals!
Some of the Selenite crystals found here are up to 40ft long and weigh around 55 tonnes and are considered to be one of the most spectacular mineralogical discoveries EVER!!
The Naica Mine contains several crystal filled caverns at different depths, with the Cave Of Crystals being 300m below ground and currently flooded & inaccessible.
The Cave Of Swords is 120m below ground level, This is where these outstanding pieces of Naica Selenite Specimens are found!
The various crystal caverns are often flooded and have to be drained for mining to take place.
For the last few years, mining of this beautiful crystal has been slow and no small pieces have been found…. Until now!!!! And we snapped up as many as we could!!
Specimens from this mine do come at a price and so the smaller pieces are highly sought after by collectors looking to add a more affordable piece of history to their collection.
